Hi all,
I want to thank everyone who has subscribed to my newsletter since the beginning and has been following my work since day 1!
It feels like yesterday I published the post celebrating 100 subscribers in this newsletter. Over the last three and a half months, the subscriber list has grown exponentially (10 times to be exact).
This growth would not have happened without the help, recommendations, and discussions with fellow substack writers from BowTiedOrg: Raptor, WhiteBelt, Celt, Devil, Bear, and MoonBird. I highly recommend to you check out their substacks.
I want to celebrate this important milestone with a retrospective on the past few months and the plans for my Substack newsletter for the future.
What happened in the last few months?
After a slow first few months, I have been publishing new posts on a consistent schedule. Every Tuesday morning (Eastern Time), I publish a new newsletter post about human language technology to the newsletter subscribers.
The last series of posts has been on getting a job as an NLP engineer, which has received a lot of good feedback and engagement from readers.
What’s coming next?
Now that I have gotten in the groove of publishing a new post every week, I will continue publishing posts on the same schedule. Each new post will come out on Tuesday. Occasionally, I will post an extra post during the week in form of Q&A, Interviews, new educational posts, etc.
The theme of this Substack will remain the same as it originally was: learning natural language processing (NLP) and monetizing this skill. The topics that we will be covering (in no particular order):
More posts on steps and tips to land a high-paying job in NLP. Check out the first series [1, 2, 3, 4].
Educational material to make sure you know the fundamentals and stay up-to-date with the most important latest techniques in NLP [1, 2, 3].
Steps to turn the NLP project into a full-fledged SaaS (software as a service).
I want to give every subscriber an opportunity to master all these topics for a good price (30% discount — 50$ for 12 months)! After reading my Substack for a year, you should be familiar with the most important technologies in natural language processing, apply them when building your SaaS on the side and in your career, and be ready to land a higher-paying NLP engineer job.
If you think someone you know would benefit from my substack newsletter you can also gift the discounted yearly subscription to them:
Back when I started the substack and had no materials or any concrete plans with a publishing schedule; I thought that 7$ a month would be a fair price. Now, with more than 15 posts published and a consistent weekly schedule of high-quality material; I am planning to raise the prices.
Starting from Wednesday the monthly prices will go up to 15$ and yearly prices will go up to 150$. Don’t worry if you have already subscribed to a paid plan, the monthly/yearly prices will remain the same for you.
In return, I promise that I will continue delivering high-quality posts for my Human Language Technology substack readers 🫡
Enjoy your weekend, and see you soon!
